Position Concept

ISITE Design is seeking a motivated individual to join its growing e-Learning department. The Flash Developer/WBT Technologist position is responsible for architecting and building Flash applications and marketing pieces.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coding of SCORM/AICC wrappers
  • Collaborate with the technical, creative and online marketing divisions to support the client's business objectives
  • Participate in a number of developer centric communities staying on the leading edge of technology
  • Strive for certifications
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of e-Learning

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must be able to partake in Research and Development of new development tools
  • Must work with other team members to develop client oriented solutions in a structured and organized manner
  • Must understand or be willing to learn SCORM/AICC standards
  • Assist Director of e-Learning in improving the process of WBT development and documentation

Qualifications

Experience
  • 3 years experience Flash with expertise in ActionScript
  • 3 years in Internet related industry
  • 3 years in computer related industry
  • 2 years in web-based training
Education and/or Formal Training
  • Trade school or College degree preferred

Working Environment

  • Friendly, fast-paced, high-volume production environment in fixed, convenient downtown location
  • All expenses (hours, equipment, etc.) accountable and billable to projects

Material and Equipment Directly Used

  • Flash
  • Windows XP (with knowledge of MacOS)
  • MS Office
  • Other Web development tools may be used (e.g. Macromedia, Adobe suites)
  • Common office supplies and tools

Physical Requirements

  • The physical requirements for this position are light to moderate.
  • Requires ability to walk up to 10 blocks in downtown Portland to run periodic errands.
  • May require some lifting and carrying of materials or equipment.
  • Extended hours required at times to meet client deadlines.
